David Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Arif Gaffar Başkara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Arif Gaffar Başkara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. David Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fellipe Rezende hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper David Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Nazario. After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Jacinto Neiva got a free kick in the 23rd minute. David Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Bonninal's Adrianinho Neto. But to his dismay, Adrianinho Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Adrianinho Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Neto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Ribeiro, 4-0. Adrianinho Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but David Ribeiro made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in E.C 2 Janeiro RS's zone, Adrianinho Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ribeiro came out of the goal and Adrianinho Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of E.C 2 Janeiro RS booed when Bonninal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bonninal's zone, Fellipe Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão de Senna came out of the goal and Fellipe Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazario in the 41st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Jacinto Neiva hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Arif Gaffar Başkara made a precise shot to the right of David Ribeiro. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Lauro Neto hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bonninal's Cao Ling Yi was substituted for Arif Gaffar Başkara. When Cao Ling Yi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Bonninal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cao Ling Yi couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bonninal booed when E.C 2 Janeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cao Ling Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Nazario in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bonninal's Narciso Loureiro was substituted for Eric Karlsson. In the 77th minute, Cao Ling Yi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Adrianinho Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ribeiro having to interfere. Dorival Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. David Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Nazario's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Neto came free, but David Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cao Ling Yi struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. David Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonninal. Cao Ling Yi succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-0. Bonninal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
