Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denílson Leão started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, ATRITO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Leme came free, but Luiz Guilherme Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 played minutes Estrada das Areias FC got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Moreno. In the 9th minute, Denílson Leão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrada das Areias FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eliseu Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Estrada das Areias FC's Eliseu Sabóia got control of the ball when Luizinho Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Luizinho Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATRITO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizinho Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson da Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hudson da Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Estrada das Areias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Denílson Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Guilherme Cunha having to make a save. Jaime Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Sabóia having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denílson Leão's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Jaime Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estrada das Areias FC's Osvaldinho Leme managed to work through ATRITO FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Osvaldinho Leme dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a defensive mix-up in Estrada das Areias FC's zone, Luizinho Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Sabóia came out of the goal and Luizinho Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

53 minutes into the game, Jaime Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eliseu Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute Denílson Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Leme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Luiz Guilherme Cunha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Luizinho Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Favoretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseu Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Jaime Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Denílson Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Cunha was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. ATRITO FC's Jaime Favoretto managed to work through Estrada das Areias FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jaime Favoretto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ATRITO FC fully deserved thier win.
