Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Paiva got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Paulo Paiva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Viracao's Wilton Pereira. Wilton Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Viracao's zone, Luiz Fernando de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilton Pereira came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Viracao defense, Fernandão Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilton Pereira. The Viracao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Pereira should have stopped the shot. Wilton Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Wilton Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamim Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Simão went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Abel Prado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilton Pereira. Viracao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When Paulo Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the WAU team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Paiva couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Fernandão Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilton Pereira. Viracao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandão Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Fernandão Lopes struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Wilton Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAU team. Wilton Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 36 minutes of play, WAU team's Paulo Paiva made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilton Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute of the match WAU team got a corner. Viracao's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fernando de Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led WAU team's Luiz Fernando de Toledo to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilton Pereira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fernandão Lopes scored 1-7 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilton Pereira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half WAU team were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laerte de Castro scored 1-8 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilton Pereira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 53 played minutes Viracao got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Santos. In the 56th minute, Fernandão Lopes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WAU team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. 59 minutes into the game, WAU team's Laerte de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilton Pereira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-10. 67 minutes into the game, Álvaro Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viracao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WAU team the free kick. Álvaro Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Viracao's zone, Laerte de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilton Pereira came out of the goal and Laerte de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Paiva in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilton Pereira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as WAU team's Paulo Paiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilton Pereira. That made the score 1-12 after 74 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fernando de Toledo got free with Wilton Pereira in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulão Siqueira's late challenge caught a WAU team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulão Siqueira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Viracao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. WAU team's Luiz Fernando de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernandão Lopes took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilton Pereira. Wilton Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-13. Wilton Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernandão Lopes in the 87th minute. Laerte de Castro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fernandão Lopes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Paulo Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Wilton Pereira made a huge save. Luiz Fernando de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Wilton Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAU team. The Viracao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. WAU team were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
