The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. La 李义凌 struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Vladimir Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alice. When Raphael Lira came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Alice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Lira couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by La 李义凌 in the 10th minute of play forced Complexo do PJ's goalkeeper Vladimir Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If José Paulo de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th match minute, Complexo do PJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txeru Anieva to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Complexo do PJ defense, La 李义凌 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimir Meira. The Complexo do PJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimir Meira should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Alice's Magno Maia got control of the ball when Txeru Anieva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Complexo do PJ got a corner. Alice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Junior Alonso ran over to the corner to take the kick. Complexo do PJ's Junior Alonso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Magno Maia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Complexo do PJ's Vladimir Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Lima in the 22nd minute of play. Gilson Paraibano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Complexo do PJ's goalkeeper Vladimir Meira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Txeru Anieva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La 李义凌 in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Txeru Anieva to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Vladimir Meira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 55th minute Txeru Anieva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txeru Anieva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Álvaro Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Alice booed when Complexo do PJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Álvaro Lima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Meira skillfully saved the ball. Vladimir Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Lima in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when La 李义凌 got free with Vladimir Meira in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the game, José Paulo de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Magno Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La 李义凌 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Meira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Txeru Anieva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Complexo do PJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Txeru Anieva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Complexo do PJ made a substitution. Eugênio Fernandez replaced José Paulo de Brito. A collision led to Complexo do PJ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Txeru Anieva hit a great ball. Otávio Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Complexo do PJ got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Maia. Vladimir Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Belline in the 86th minute of the match. Vladimir Meira made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when La 李义凌 sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Eugênio Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Magno Maia was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. La 李义凌 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Meira having to interfere. Txeru Anieva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from La 李义凌 in the 95th minute of the match.
