The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Varban Pavlikyanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After taking down the ball on Dr Lecter SC's corner Luiz Fabiano Pitta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Haroldo Dante quite easily take care of the ball. In the 17th minute, Nilmar Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's zone, Corneliu Dridu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Dante came out of the goal and Corneliu Dridu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dr Lecter SC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Válbson Batista hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Corneliu Dridu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Haroldo Dante to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute, Basilio Bilbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar de Moraes in the 52nd minute of play. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Dr Lecter SC from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Sá came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 61st minute of play. Dr Lecter SC's Luiz Fabiano Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Breno Loyola was substituted for Enzo Nahia. Corneliu Dridu scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo Dante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 75 in the game by Breno Loyola from a close distance when the talented Celso Trevisan managed to make a qualified save. Dr Lecter SC's players were relieved. In the 78th match minute, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Graack to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Haroldo Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 88th minute of play. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dr Lecter SC.
