A hard shot 14 in the game by Blas Lauro from a close distance when the talented Lorenzo Flores managed to make a qualified save. Tigre's players were relieved. Ismael Guillerme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Baladi having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hormiguero's Faustino Goren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lorenzo Flores. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Carlos Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Benat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Lauro got free with Lorenzo Flores in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Gudesteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Baladi having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, one of Tigre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lorenzo Flores went to the wrong direction when Ceferino Palben was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of Hormiguero booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Guillerme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Gartzen came free, but Lorenzo Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Enrique Blasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hormiguero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 44th minute Faustino Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorio Bazil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Baladi having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesus Gartzen made a kick off. Blas Lauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Flores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Lauro ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Gartzen came free, but Lorenzo Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tigre's Angelino Naelio got a free kick in the 89th minute. Lorenzo Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Lauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hormiguero had played much better football throughout.
