With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Demesio in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quico saved Svalbard from getting behind. Luisito Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Tonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Demesio in the 10th minute of play forced Svalbard's goalkeeper Luisito Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Quico came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanus AFC's Diego Valeri. But to his dismay, Diego Valeri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Diego Valeri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Celso Quiroga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Svalbard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanus AFC the free kick. A collision led to Svalbard getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Celso Quiroga hit a great ball. When Froilan Tonio came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Lanus AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Tonio couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Eriberto Meder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Svalbard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanus AFC the free kick. Eriberto Meder kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Celso Demesio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svalbard's Luisito Quico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lanus AFC's Celso Demesio in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Svalbard's goalie prevented a goal. The Lanus AFC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Lanus AFC's Celso Demesio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Petar Saletić made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Fabio Atauri sent off a good shot on target. Luisito Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Lanus AFC's Petar Saletić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Quiroga in the 53rd minute of play. Angelino Chuan's late challenge caught a Lanus AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. Angelino Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. During the 63rd minute of the match Eriberto Meder completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eriberto Meder a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 63rd minute, Eriberto Meder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Demesio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Luisito Quico when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Aureliano Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Felix Rioja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lanus AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svalbard the free kick. A collision led to Lanus AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Felix Rioja hit a great ball. Gaudencio Ponc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petar Saletić having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Svalbard's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Demesio came free, but Luisito Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Froilan Tonio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 played minutes Svalbard got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Quico. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lanus AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
