The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sixto Duardo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santa Helena protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sixto Duardo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Santa Helena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quequen FC:s goal. Raul Pacho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Benigno Magdaleno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quequen FC's goalkeeper Benigno Magdaleno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Quequen FC's Fernan Cugat got a free kick in the 19th minute. Santa Helena's Raul Pacho got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roque Burutzagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Antonio Iago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Quexal. Santa Helena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Iago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Raul Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Kiepski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Melchor Aztore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Quequen FC's Benigno Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Osoitz in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Raul Pacho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Magdaleno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Quequen FC's Benigno Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Pacho in the 61st minute of play. The Santa Helena fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Santa Helena's Raul Pacho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Camilo Quexal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Iago, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Saul Asier hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Quequen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Purje came free, but Benigno Magdaleno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Quequen FC booed when Santa Helena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Asier didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Pacho in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Magdaleno saved Quequen FC from getting behind. After 80 played minutes Quequen FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Aureo. After some careless play in the Quequen FC defense, Raul Pacho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benigno Magdaleno. The Quequen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Magdaleno should have stopped the shot. After 92 minutes, Raul Pacho made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Quequen FC's Benigno Magdaleno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santa Helena's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
