Alberto Mundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Salomone in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Raimundo Cordarin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Claypole's Alberto Mundo. Alberto Mundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Albano Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Shantala charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Shantala the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Claypole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Shantala to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Mundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Cordarin in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Roque Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervasio Liberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Domeka, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gavino Salomone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alberto Mundo made a huge save. With 30 minutes on the clock, Aurelio Shantala commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Claypole! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Sevinge F.C.. Ivan Osoitz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Mundo. 2-0. Roque Navarro's late challenge caught a Sevinge F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Claypole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Ireno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervasio Liberto having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Claypole's zone, Raimundo Cordarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Mundo came out of the goal and Raimundo Cordarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Artemio Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Freddy Alonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Cordarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Roque Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Cordarin in the 55th minute of play forced Claypole's goalkeeper Alberto Mundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sevinge F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a rather tough play, Sevinge F.C.'s Fernan Roldan got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Artemio Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through a series of nice moves, Claypole's Roque Navarro on his own came free in the 84th minute of the match and shot 3-1 behind a disappointed Gervasio Liberto. After having played for 87 minutes, Roque Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claypole's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artemio Ireno might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Liberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artemio Ireno ran back to his position shaking his head. When Freddy Alonso fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Claypole's protests and gave Freddy Alonso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Claypole getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Freddy Alonso hit a great ball. Claypole's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sevinge F.C. had won, even though Claypole had held more of the ball.
