After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Bragado's zone, Herminio Reno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Totakoxe kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. When Baldomero Mateo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de Bragado's protests and gave Baldomero Mateo a yellow card for diving instead. Guido Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Guter having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Bragado's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Guib came free, but Octavio Guter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
