Cipriano Jax started the match with the kick off. Melquiades Farias charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Farias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.A.Los Gurisee's Melquiades Farias got a free kick in the 9th minute. Juan Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Harkaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes, Ubaldo Tipi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the C.A.Los Gurisee players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Tipi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Victorino Harkaitz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Juan Abeita to make any attempt to save it. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Juan Abeita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victorino Harkaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Independiente's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victorino Harkaitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 28th minute, Bernardo Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Vachon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Jax in the 29th minute of the match. Victorino Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Abeita having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Harkaitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Harkaitz in the 52nd minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Juan Abeita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cipriano Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Independiente's Fernando Lonzo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Damian Vachon. Joaquin Nuxila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Juan Abeita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ubaldo Tipi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. Ubaldo Tipi hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Joaquin Nuxila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88 minutes of play, C.A.Los Gurisee's Joaquin Nuxila made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Abeita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
