The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, DE LEON FC's Joel Lop got control of the ball when Cristian Nalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. DE LEON FC's Joel Lop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save DE LEON FC from getting a goal against them. AC San Martín de Mendoza's Dariusz Kosmatka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Abechuco in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of AC San Martín de Mendoza booed when DE LEON FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Demario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teofilo Abechuco might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dariusz Kosmatka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofilo Abechuco ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Lop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 蒋潮邦, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Cristian Nalo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 28 minutes, Hector Salvator mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DE LEON FC and the AC San Martín de Mendoza players grew even worse after the yellow card. AC San Martín de Mendoza's Samuel Tomi got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Tomi in the 36th minute of play. Cristian Nalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Lop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Cristian Nalo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joel Lop. In the 47th minute, Alejo Txaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Salvator kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a little luck, AC San Martín de Mendoza's Dariusz Kosmatka got control of the ball when Faustino Fresco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristian Nalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Lop was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Cristian Nalo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Lop. Leopoldo Laurin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Dariusz Kosmatka made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, DE LEON FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Nalo came free, but Joel Lop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cristian Nalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Lop stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Nalo's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The AC San Martín de Mendoza fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when AC San Martín de Mendoza's Cristian Nalo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Nalo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Lop prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicente Lluques took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Lop. Joel Lop dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alejo Txaran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Lop having to make a save. There was no doubt that AC San Martín de Mendoza were the better team. AC San Martín de Mendoza's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
