In the 4th match minute, AC San Martín de Mendoza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Manny in the 5th minute of play forced AC San Martín de Mendoza's goalkeeper Dariusz Kosmatka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alejo Txaran fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC San Martín de Mendoza's protests and gave Alejo Txaran a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alter Ego booed when AC San Martín de Mendoza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Txaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Anastasio Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When AC San Martín de Mendoza's Cristian Nalo in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alter Ego's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Nalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Betadur having to interfere. Gustavo Betadur came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by AC San Martín de Mendoza's Samuel Tomi. But to his dismay, Samuel Tomi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in AC San Martín de Mendoza's zone, Isidoro Manny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dariusz Kosmatka came out of the goal and Isidoro Manny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dariusz Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Manny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dariusz Kosmatka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Cesaro in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alter Ego's zone, Cristian Nalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Betadur came out of the goal and Cristian Nalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justo Cesaro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gustavo Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Nalo in the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Alter Ego getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Justo Cesaro hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Alter Ego got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Millan. After 44 minutes of play, Alter Ego's Isidoro Manny made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dariusz Kosmatka was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Cordario was the one to do the kick off. Gustavo Betadur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Nalo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the game, AC San Martín de Mendoza's Vicente Lluques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Betadur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. AC San Martín de Mendoza's Alejo Txaran got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Alter Ego's zone, Cristian Nalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Betadur came out of the goal and Cristian Nalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Cristian Nalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Alter Ego got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Amaya. 90 minutes into the match, Alter Ego's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Nalo came free, but Gustavo Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Betadur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Nalo's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Cristian Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC San Martín de Mendoza walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
