Ricardo Perfecto scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Lorien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Pulares Ekatombe FC booed when Cóceres FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Peyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Neto in the 28th minute of play forced Cóceres FC's goalkeeper Marcos Lorien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite this Anier Bermudez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Anier Bermudez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cóceres FC. The supporters of Cóceres FC booed when Pulares Ekatombe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Perfecto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ricardo Perfecto fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pulares Ekatombe FC's protests and gave Ricardo Perfecto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Ricardo Perfecto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ricardo Perfecto made the kick off in the second half.
