Charlie Sundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bocho Cabezuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 35th minute, Jacobo Fonticoba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomás Timo, passed just outside the right post. Teofil Waldoch's late challenge caught a Ambargasta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofil Waldoch helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Robles defense, Jacobo Fonticoba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Timo. The Robles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Timo should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Jacobo Fonticoba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Timo. Robles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacobo Fonticoba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to Ambargasta getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Zeledon Amor hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bocho Cabezuela made the kick off in the second half. Bocho Cabezuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Sundin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Sandalio Top sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Charlie Sundin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
