After 5 minutes of play, Fiambalá's Albert Villanueva made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Arce was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the match, Pingolion's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Peio came free, but Clemente Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Albert Villanueva came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Fiambalá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Villanueva couldn't finish the play. Esteve Porfiro charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteve Porfiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pingolion's Esteve Porfiro got a free kick in the 13th minute. Clemente Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Villanueva in the 19th minute of play. Clemente Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Peio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Clemente Arce managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Fiambalá's Claudio Veremundo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Veremundo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Arce. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Angelino Thomas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Raitin's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Wilfredo Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Thomas having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Fiambalá's Clemente Arce threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Modesto Peio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st minute, Esteve Porfiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Belo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Clemente Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fiambalá. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albert Villanueva to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Genadi Oprov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Veremundo in the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Serafin Atarrabi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pingolion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fiambalá the free kick. Albert Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The corner led Fiambalá's Albert Villanueva to fire away a dangerous shot which Clemente Arce despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 84th minute Albert Villanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Claudio Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fiambalá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Veremundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Clemente Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fiambalá had played much better football throughout.
