The supporters of Estación Q. booed when Carabata Groove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Marcico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yu Ling Xiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Beto Marcico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Yu Ling Xiang made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Lesardo came free, but Cristobal Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Salvador Benet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yu Ling Xiang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 19th minute, Tadeo Lesardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estación Q. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Beto Marcico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Yu Ling Xiang made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that José Sand got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristobal Goito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Esdras in the 44th minute of play forced Estación Q.'s goalkeeper Yu Ling Xiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Wilfredo Esdras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yu Ling Xiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Estación Q.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hauk Hareide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Estación Q.'s Paulinho Gonçalves was substituted for Tadeo Lesardo. Hauk Hareide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. With a little luck, Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito got control of the ball when Paulinho Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelo Vargas made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Hauk Hareide. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulinho Gonçalves in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Goito saved Carabata Groove from getting behind.
