Spectators: 5407 (Terracing: 4300, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 7) Greg Stark started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Bembridge's Jack Alistair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Logan McMenzies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicholas McHendrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Logan McMenzies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guy May had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas McHendrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Bembridge's goalkeeper Gus Mitchell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil McCansh. After 13 played minutes Bembridge got a freekick which was hit by Ronan McLennan. When Colin Anderson fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arbroath's protests and gave Colin Anderson a yellow card for diving instead. Alan McFall placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Stark in the 23rd minute of play forced Bembridge's goalkeeper Gus Mitchell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nicholas McHendrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gus Mitchell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Greg Stark's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Guy May managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bembridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy May was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan McMenzies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arbroath's Logan McMenzies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy May in the 42nd minute of play. Nicholas McHendrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan McMenzies having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Arbroath's goal looked a bit too open when Guy May came free, but Logan McMenzies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy May made a kick off. Gus Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Stark in the 56th minute of the match. Ricky Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Nicholas McHendrie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Logan McMenzies having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Nicholas McHendrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicholas McHendrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Logan McMenzies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy May in the 78th minute of play. Gus Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil McCansh in the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, Bembridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan McFall to maneuver through the defense. Colin Anderson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gus Mitchell. Bembridge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arbroath succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bembridge had controlled the match.
