The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Colin Anderson helped the player get up and apologised. 3 minutes into the match, Eddie McWalrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Logan McMenzies. Arbroath's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddie McWalrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie McWalrick in the 7th minute of play forced Arbroath's goalkeeper Logan McMenzies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Drummore United's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Stark came free, but Drew Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Drummore United's Drew Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Stark in the 21st minute of play. Arbroath were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Drummore United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Colin Anderson took the corner. Arbroath's Logan McMenzies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Robinson in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alex Robinson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arbroath's Logan McMenzies was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Logan McMenzies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth Hutchenson in the 34th minute of play. Alex Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan McMenzies having to interfere. When Declan Yule came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Drummore United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Declan Yule couldn't finish the play. Logan McMenzies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Robinson in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gareth Hutchenson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drummore United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Eddie McWalrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan McMenzies having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Greg Stark was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Arbroath's goalkeeper Logan McMenzies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Robinson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil McCansh in the 54th minute of play forced Drummore United's goalkeeper Drew Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Drummore United's Declan Yule got a free kick in the 55th minute. Alex Robinson had several of the Arbroath's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Logan McMenzies as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Robinson in the 65th minute of play forced Arbroath's goalkeeper Logan McMenzies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drummore United's Drew Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil McCansh in the 68th minute of play. Alex Robinson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Logan McMenzies skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Alex Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicol Finlayson charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicol Finlayson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice moves Drew McKinnon could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Logan McMenzies however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex Robinson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Logan McMenzies. That made the score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Arbroath's goalkeeper Logan McMenzies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Robinson. Arbroath's Logan McMenzies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie McWalrick in the 86th minute of play. Kieran Coull kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Alex Robinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drummore United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Robinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Robinson in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Logan McMenzies saved Arbroath from getting behind. Alex Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan McMenzies having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Gareth Hutchenson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drummore United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gareth Hutchenson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Arbroath's Logan McMenzies got control of the ball when Alex Robinson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Drummore United played a much better game than Arbroath and deserved their victory. The Arbroath players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
