Vladimiro Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 47 minutes on the clock, Angélico Vilar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 48th match minute, GD Fiães was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angélico Vilar to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Jan Hendrik Saarberg made the kick off in the second half.
