Spectators: 6650 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) When Fergal Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Raferagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fergal Martyn couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Raferagh's goal looked a bit too open when Emmet McWilliam came free, but Baird McJohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Hamilton kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Rathmolyon Utd's Kevinn McCollion got control of the ball when Fergal Martyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Rathmolyon Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. Baird McJohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmet McWilliam in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Raferagh's Brak Costello got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Bran Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baird McJohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bran Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rathmolyon Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Bran Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baird McJohn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fergal Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 28 minutes, Finbar McNamara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raferagh and the Rathmolyon Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raferagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathmolyon Utd the free kick. The supporters of Rathmolyon Utd booed when Raferagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordon Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaden Cooney got free with Kevinn McCollion in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bran Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emmet McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Bran Byrne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Raferagh's Baird McJohn. Baird McJohn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Raferagh players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rathmolyon Utd were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaden Cooney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Fergal Martyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raferagh and the Rathmolyon Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kevinn McCollion was left in no man's land by his defense there! Begg Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baird McJohn having to interfere. During the 94th minute of the match Brak Costello completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brak Costello a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Rathmolyon Utd booed when Raferagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brak Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevinn McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaden Cooney in the 98th minute of play. Rathmolyon Utd were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
