Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Basil Moran made the kick off which started today's match. Dermot Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinton Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermot Jameson in the 10th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Dermot Jameson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quinton Lavine was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th minute, Tobin McSteven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cork's Gearalt Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Cork from getting a goal against them. Gearalt Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basil Moran in the 30th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Tobin McSteven in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Courthoyle's Birr McDonald. In the 35th minute of the match, Basil Moran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gearalt Barrett was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 41st match minute, Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berke McOliver to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes, Courthoyle's Bras McWillie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gearalt Barrett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Courthoyle reached it.

The wind increased when Dermot Jameson made the kick off in the second half. Dermot Jameson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Quinton Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Courthoyle's zone, Dermot Jameson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinton Lavine came out of the goal and Dermot Jameson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Courthoyle's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Berke McOliver fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Basil Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinton Lavine was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Berke McOliver capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berke McOliver really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Courthoyle's Quinton Lavine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Courthoyle from getting a goal against them. After 85 minutes, Berke McOliver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cork and the Courthoyle players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Courthoyle booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berke McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Cork's Tobin McSteven ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Quinton Lavine. Quinton Lavine yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Cork played a much better game than Courthoyle and deserved their victory. The Courthoyle players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
