Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dermot Jameson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Alfred McDecland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gearalt Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gearalt Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenainn Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Blathma McSteve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearalt Barrett. Cork's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blathma McSteve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gearalt Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brenainn Martyn's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The supporters of Curhownagh booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobin McSteven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gearalt Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowen Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22ndth minute of the game Alfred McDecland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cork's Gearalt Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Donoghue Ramsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cork's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curhownagh the free kick. Gearalt Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred McDecland went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Brenainn Martyn took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gearalt Barrett. Gearalt Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 36 minutes into the match, Cork's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred McDecland came free, but Gearalt Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cork defense, Brenainn Martyn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gearalt Barrett. The Cork fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gearalt Barrett should have stopped the shot. Gearalt Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blathma McSteve went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Gearalt Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blathma McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred McDecland was the one to do the kick off. Blathma McSteve succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Dermot Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cork's supporters rose to their feet, but Dermot Jameson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berach Morrison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenan Myler in the 59th minute of play forced Cork's goalkeeper Gearalt Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gearalt Barrett came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Curhownagh's Brenan Myler. But to his dismay, Brenan Myler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. 66 minutes into the match, Blathma McSteve dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gearalt Barrett, 1-9. In the 69th minute, Devlin Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenainn Martyn in the 73rd minute of play forced Cork's goalkeeper Gearalt Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cork's Gearalt Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenan Myler in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Curhownagh's Blathma McSteve ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gearalt Barrett. Gearalt Barrett yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-10. Gearalt Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cork's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Blathma McSteve scored to the left of an out of position Gearalt Barrett, making the score, 1-11. Gearalt Barrett made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Brenainn Martyn sent off a good shot on target. Gearalt Barrett came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Curhownagh's Brenainn Martyn. But to his dismay, Brenainn Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-12. When the final whistle sounded Curhownagh left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cork.
