Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aaden Cooney got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Raferagh booed when Curhownagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald McAlphie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baird McJohn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blathma McSteve went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Baird McJohn made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Blathma McSteve sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the match, Brenan Myler dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baird McJohn, 2-0. Raferagh's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Brenan Myler 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Raferagh's Baird McJohn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Raferagh from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Blathma McSteve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baird McJohn. Raferagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blathma McSteve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Baird McJohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathma McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred McDecland got free with Baird McJohn in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berach Morrison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaden Cooney's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brenainn Martyn got free with Baird McJohn in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baird McJohn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brenainn Martyn in the 37th minute. Baird McJohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred McDecland in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred McDecland to make the kick off. When Brak Costello fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Raferagh's protests and gave Brak Costello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Raferagh getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Brak Costello hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Cianán John in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Raferagh's Earnán Gillmour. After a rather tough play, Raferagh's Brak Costello got a free kick in the 61st minute. Brenan Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred McDecland in the 63rd minute of play forced Raferagh's goalkeeper Baird McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cahir Delaney hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Baird McJohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathma McSteve in the 75th minute of the match. Baird McJohn came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Curhownagh's Brenainn Martyn. But to his dismay, Brenainn Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Baird McJohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred McDecland in the 80th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Brenan Myler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curhownagh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Finbar McNamara's late challenge caught a Curhownagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Finbar McNamara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Raferagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finbar McNamara to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenainn Martyn in the 92nd minute of play forced Raferagh's goalkeeper Baird McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Curhownagh were the better team. Curhownagh's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
