The Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio de Barros should have stopped the shot. Fryderyk Lepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in the 20th minute of play. Fryderyk Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Coileán McAlphie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jânio de Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in the 28th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Fryderyk Lepper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay, in the 28th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ballybunion Celtic F.C.. Fryderyk Lepper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay got free with Fryderyk Lepper in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 minutes of play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fryderyk Lepper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
55 minutes into the game, Braulio Martinez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Fryderyk Lepper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fryderyk Lepper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Kevinn Mulvihill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Fryderyk Lepper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Queirós in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Bivitas Duggan got a free kick in the 71st minute. Edwin Gallagher made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alessandro Queirós. Harvey Boyes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jânio de Barros made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caimin Doyle in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio de Barros saved Ballybunion Celtic F.C. from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Fryderyk Lepper. Fryderyk Lepper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Carl Beck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carl Beck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ballybunion Celtic F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carl Beck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 90th minute, one of Ballybunion Celtic F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballybunion Celtic F.C.. Fryderyk Lepper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Queirós in the 96th minute of the match.
