Harleston United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Atkinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Glyn Hurst made a precise shot to the right of Conal Lewington. East Leakers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Glyn Hurst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Scargill kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Harleston United's Patrick Scargill got a free kick in the 17th minute. Barney Marlow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Shane Tipton made a huge save. Harry Atkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conal Lewington having to interfere. Bradley Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conal Lewington having to interfere. Harleston United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Barney Marlow scored to the left of an out of position Shane Tipton, making the score, 1-1. Shane Tipton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Thompson in the 39th minute. Conal Lewington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glyn Hurst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, East Leakers's Richard Thompson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shane Tipton. Shane Tipton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Olly Morley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Leakers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olly Morley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 minutes, Barney Marlow mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Leakers and the Harleston United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barney Marlow kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Thompson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Glyn Hurst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Glyn Hurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conal Lewington having to interfere. Olly Morley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shane Tipton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Bradley Farrell was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 61st minute, Glyn Hurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Bradley Farrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harleston United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradley Farrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conal Lewington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Mike Hume suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Patrick Scargill was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. East Leakers's Brad Rigg was substituted for Mike Hume. Patrick Scargill kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Harleston United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zaq Duff to maneuver through the defense. Verne Fountain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shane Tipton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in East Leakers's zone, Harry Atkinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conal Lewington came out of the goal and Harry Atkinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marek Joynes kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Joshua Newland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Leakers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harleston United the free kick. Harry Atkinson hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bradley Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conal Lewington having to interfere. Richard Thompson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Shane Tipton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Olly Morley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Tipton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Harleston United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Verne Fountain was slow to take the kick. During this time East Leakers's players had a chance to rest. The corner led East Leakers's Verne Fountain to fire away a dangerous shot which Shane Tipton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Shane Tipton came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by East Leakers's Richard Thompson. But to his dismay, Richard Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. East Leakers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
