Spectators: 5960 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1860, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matt Durrant got the match started through his kick off. Andy Gilchrist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mike Hume hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Matt Durrant managed to get in a good position for a shot. IceTigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Matt Durrant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conal Lewington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th match minute, IceTigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Gilchrist to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of East Leakers booed when IceTigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Durrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. IceTigers's Teddy Sparks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save IceTigers from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, Charlie Rush left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IceTigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Durrant in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conal Lewington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teddy Sparks made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Richard Thompson sent off a good shot on target. IceTigers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Olly Morley scored to the left of an out of position Teddy Sparks, making the score, 1-1. In the 28th minute of the match, Olly Morley tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Teddy Sparks saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, IceTigers's Teddy Sparks got control of the ball when Richard Thompson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, IceTigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Maskell to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, East Leakers's Olly Morley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matt Durrant in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conal Lewington saved East Leakers from getting behind. When Barney Marlow fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Leakers's protests and gave Barney Marlow a yellow card for diving instead. Barney Marlow hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Derek Maskell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IceTigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derek Maskell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind East Leakers's goalkeeper Conal Lewington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of East Leakers booed when IceTigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Den Gildea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, IceTigers's goal looked a bit too open when Olly Morley came free, but Teddy Sparks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Teddy Sparks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olly Morley in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes of play, East Leakers's Richard Thompson made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teddy Sparks was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Matt Durrant managed to get in a good position for a shot. IceTigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Matt Durrant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conal Lewington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes, Aaron Beswetherick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Leakers and the IceTigers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aaron Beswetherick kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Olly Morley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Teddy Sparks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teddy Sparks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Thompson in the 69th minute of the match. If Richard Thompson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Derek Maskell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Olly Morley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teddy Sparks came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by East Leakers's Richard Thompson. But to his dismay, Richard Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 83rd minute Richard Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Sparks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of East Leakers booed when IceTigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Maskell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Den Gildea's late challenge caught a East Leakers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Den Gildea helped the player get up and apologised. East Leakers made a substitution. Perry Wroe replaced Richard Thompson. After a rather tough play, IceTigers's Den Gildea got a free kick in the 89th minute. Matt Durrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Conal Lewington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Durrant in the 94th minute of play forced East Leakers's goalkeeper Conal Lewington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. East Leakers's Conal Lewington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Gilchrist in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The East Leakers fans cheered their team off the field, for while IceTigers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
