Štefan Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Mikla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Tomáš Požgaj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFK Petržalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomáš Požgaj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doriva Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Bališ, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Igor Bališ took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doriva Reis. Doriva Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 43rd match minute, V.K.DRINK Hermanovce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Janko to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomáš Požgaj to make the kick off. Tomáš Požgaj scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doriva Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th minute, Tomáš Požgaj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Tomáš Požgaj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of V.K.DRINK Hermanovce booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balázs Borbély didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Tomáš Požgaj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The AFK Petržalka players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
