Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Apelquist in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Štefan Semeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 played minutes Feyenoord Malinovo got a freekick which was hit by Erik Orgován. 16 minutes into the match, Feyenoord Malinovo's goalkeeper Blai Izaguirre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomáš Požgaj. 19 minutes into the game, Viktor Seno threw the ball into play from the sideline. Feyenoord Malinovo's Erik Orgován quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Feyenoord Malinovo's Korkut Hüdayioğlu got a free kick in the 20th minute. Tomáš Požgaj scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blai Izaguirre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blai Izaguirre made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Tomáš Požgaj sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Feyenoord Malinovo's goalkeeper Blai Izaguirre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AFK Petržalka were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Feyenoord Malinovo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Pekarík took the corner. Peter Németh might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Štefan Semeno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feyenoord Malinovo's Erik Nálepka was substituted for Dávid Zachar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomáš Požgaj to make the kick off. AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Pawelczyk in the 54th minute of play. Richard Zedník fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blai Izaguirre having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Peter Németh notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno. Štefan Semeno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Németh in the 83rd minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
