Spectators: 7283 (Terracing: 5464, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) Mattan United's Egon Samuelsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Sandviken got a freekick which was hit by Karl Eriksson. After 7 minutes of play, Sandviken's Christian Lidman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conny Broberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Busk during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sandviken booed when Mattan United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conny Broberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Lidman in the 12th minute of play. Sandviken's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Egon Samuelsson scored to the left of an out of position Orvar Ahlén, making the score, 1-1. After 18 played minutes Mattan United got a freekick which was hit by Egon Samuelsson. 21 minutes into the game, Egon Samuelsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Orvar Ahlén. Egon Samuelsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Orvar Ahlén made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Aleksander Jonasson sent off a good shot on target. Orvar Ahlén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Filip Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Sandviken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Boman to maneuver through the defense. Mattan United's Egon Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Sandviken's Orvar Ahlén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Samuelsson in the 58th minute of play. Aleksander Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filip Hansson in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Conny Broberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Sandviken booed when Mattan United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Blomquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had been going on for 73 minutes Sivert Boman shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Conny Broberg when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Filip Hansson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 90 minutes into the game, one of Sandviken:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sandviken:s Orvar Ahlén showed great skill when he stopped Örjan Gulliksson:s penalty. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mattan United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sandviken had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
