Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Hakuna Matata's Jens-Ove Norström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, FC Rashboi's Ulf Hammarberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rune Lövkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mats Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The nice shot from Torbjörn Nilsson in the 10thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Dag Almqvist had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Rudolf Ugla's late challenge caught a FC Rashboi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Ugla helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Hakuna Matata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Rashboi:s goal. FC Rashboi's Ulf Hammarberg got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Lagerberg in the 26th minute of play forced Hakuna Matata's goalkeeper Rune Lövkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes FC Rashboi got a freekick which was hit by Svante Lagerberg. If Jens-Ove Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dag Almqvist was a little too slow when Jens-Ove Norström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. Svante Lagerberg struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rune Lövkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rashboi. Hakuna Matata's Rune Lövkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Lagerberg in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svante Lagerberg to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Gallberg to maneuver through the defense. Rune Lövkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Lagerberg in the 52nd minute of play. Ulf Hammarberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakuna Matata's Rune Lövkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Hakuna Matata from getting a goal against them. Rune Lövkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, FC Rashboi's Maximilian Johnsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rune Lövkvist. Rune Lövkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svante Lagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasper Danielsson during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Hakuna Matata got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Danielsson. The supporters of Hakuna Matata booed when FC Rashboi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Enström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FC Rashboi defense, Jens-Ove Norström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dag Almqvist. The FC Rashboi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dag Almqvist should have stopped the shot. In the 91st match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Lund to maneuver through the defense. When Ulf Hammarberg came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the FC Rashboi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Hammarberg couldn't finish the play. Ulf Hammarberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 97th playminute.
