The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Marc Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FALKARNA's Vidar Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Nordlander in the 13th minute of play. Marc Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Bjursell having to interfere. Pål Lundberg charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pål Lundberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Pål Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Fredriksson struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Egon Bjursell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FALKARNA. Egon Bjursell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Fredriksson in the 23rd minute of play. Elof Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Bjursell having to interfere. Egon Bjursell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Fredriksson in the 28th minute of the match. Bengt Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Egon Bjursell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FALKARNA's Marc Fredriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Blyfot BK's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Fredriksson came free, but Egon Bjursell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blyfot BK's Pål Lundberg got a free kick in the 36th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc Fredriksson made a kick off. Marc Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Egon Bjursell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd match minute, Blyfot BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Blyfot BK's goalkeeper Egon Bjursell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Fredriksson. Emil Larsfelt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Fredriksson got free with Egon Bjursell in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marc Fredriksson scored 0-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egon Bjursell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, FALKARNA's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Hermansson came free, but Vidar Vestlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Fredriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Egon Bjursell made a huge save. Andy Wahlström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Marc Fredriksson made a precise shot to the right of Egon Bjursell. Blyfot BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Egon Bjursell made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Marc Fredriksson sent off a good shot on target. Vidar Vestlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Adrian Nordlander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FALKARNA booed when Blyfot BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
