Thanks to some nice moves Björn Carlsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Torbjörn Månsson however easily saved by the left post. Torbjörn Månsson came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Sjuntorps if's Björn Örn. But to his dismay, Björn Örn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 22nd minute of the match Kurt Fågel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torbjörn Månsson skillfully saved the ball. Christer Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Sjuntorps if's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Gunnarsson came free, but Börje Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Torbjörn Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Månsson made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Björn Örn sent off a good shot on target. Team-A's Torbjörn Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Strömberg in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Gunnarsson made a kick off. In the 56th minute Elliott Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Team-A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Fagrell to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Strömberg during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Sjuntorps if got a freekick which was hit by Christer Strömberg. 67 minutes into the match, Holger Sundberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torbjörn Månsson. Team-A's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Holger Sundberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 77 minutes, Christer Strömberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sjuntorps if's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Strömberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Björn Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 81 minutes, Björn Örn made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Team-A's Torbjörn Månsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute of the match Kurt Fågel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torbjörn Månsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Holger Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Walroth during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Christer Strömberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sjuntorps if fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Sjuntorps if's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
