An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Lindström in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Lila Hästen's goalkeeper Robin Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Lila Hästen booed when Kiruna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Frisk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim Bäck struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mikael Ekenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lila Hästen. Robin Arvidsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klas Glanselius's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. FC Lila Hästen's Jim Bäck got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sonny Jönsson to make the kick off. Kasper Asserlind hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Klas Glanselius took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Robin Arvidsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 96th minute of the match, Leo Lindström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robin Arvidsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
