Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernt Säfström made the kick off which started today's match. Svante Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Hedberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Rikard Källberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rikard Källberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes, Sven-Åke Larsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vännäs BK and the Hammar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hammar booed when Vännäs BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes of play, Hammar's Rikard Källberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Svante Josefsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sten Söderqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Hammar's Jan-Ove Hellström shot a high long ball. Vännäs BK's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. If Richard Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hammar booed when Vännäs BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Ove Hellström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Svante Josefsson. Vännäs BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute Björn Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Josefsson having to interfere. Rikard Källberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Svante Josefsson made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Richard Hedberg took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Svante Josefsson to make any attempt to save it.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Hedberg made a kick off. Rikard Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Josefsson having to interfere. Kim Henriksson was a little too slow when Bernt Säfström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-1. A collision led to Vännäs BK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sven-Arne Pihlblad hit a great ball. Rikard Källberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svante Josefsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rikard Källberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Richard Hedberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Leif Arvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Hedberg in the 83rd minute of play forced Vännäs BK's goalkeeper Svante Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vännäs BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Ove Hellström was slow to take the kick. During this time Hammar's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jan-Ove Hellström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Svante Josefsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Richard Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vännäs BK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hammar from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
