Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Richard Hedberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sjuntorps if's Christer Strömberg got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 4 minutes, Jonatan Nyström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammar and the Sjuntorps if players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Jonatan Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börje Lind made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Rikard Källberg sent off a good shot on target. If Håkan Hamberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Richard Hedberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Hedberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Hedberg in the 15th minute of play forced Sjuntorps if's goalkeeper Börje Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Hedberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Börje Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammar's Kim Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Hamberg in the 31st minute of play. Börje Lind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikard Källberg in the 34th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hammar's Richard Hedberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Börje Lind. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Esbjörn Bäckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Lind having to interfere. In the 45th minute Esbjörn Bäckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Örn to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hammar's Sten Åkesson got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Björn Örn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Henriksson was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Börje Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Källberg in the 95th minute of the match. Rikard Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Lind having to interfere.
