After 10 played minutes, BK Skjutet's Per Glanselius shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BK Skjutet reached it. With his leg Mikael Ekenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when BK Skjutet's Stefan Jakobsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brian Flinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Lindström in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Kiruna's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Jakobsson came free, but Mikael Ekenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Kiruna from getting a goal against them. The supporters of BK Skjutet booed when Kiruna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Mårtensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikael Ekenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Jakobsson in the 32nd minute of play. Philip Arenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sonny Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Ekenberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Lindström in the 43rd minute of play forced BK Skjutet's goalkeeper Brian Flinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Philip Arenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Flinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klas Glanselius to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Klas Glanselius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kiruna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klas Glanselius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54 minutes, Johan Östlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Skjutet and the Kiruna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Johan Östlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Arenberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikael Ekenberg having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Stefan Jakobsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikael Ekenberg was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Brian Flinck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Lindström in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Jakobsson in the 69th minute of play forced Kiruna's goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Beckström in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Klas Glanselius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Sven-Erik Beckström advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 76th minute. If Sonny Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Tidén in the 85th minute of play. Mikael Ekenberg came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Skjutet's Stefan Jakobsson. But to his dismay, Stefan Jakobsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ingmar Nord kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of BK Skjutet booed when Kiruna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Nord didn't get a good kick on the ball.
