Ängö BK's Sture Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Säfström in the 6th minute of play. Georg Kilman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Svante Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Georg Kilman made a precise shot to the right of Svante Josefsson. Vännäs BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sture Henriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Säfström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vännäs BK's Bernt Säfström got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Torbjörn Ahlbom came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ängö BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torbjörn Ahlbom couldn't finish the play. Svante Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Ahlbom in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Vännäs BK booed when Ängö BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baba Dada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ängö BK's Mattias Verholt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Emanuel Målare's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Svante Josefsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Svante Josefsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Svante Josefsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Målare went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernt Säfström was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Ängö BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Säfström came free, but Sture Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vännäs BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valter Alfors in the 57th minute. Vännäs BK's Svante Josefsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Vännäs BK from getting a goal against them. Joakim Thorsberg hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Vännäs BK's Svante Josefsson got control of the ball when Emanuel Målare tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Vännäs BK's goalkeeper Svante Josefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Målare. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Säfström in the 73rd minute of play forced Ängö BK's goalkeeper Sture Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Björn Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vännäs BK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sverker Henriksson hit a great ball. If Georg Kilman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Kilman struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Svante Josefsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ängö BK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Säfström in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sture Henriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sture Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Arne Pihlblad in the 85th minute of play. Emanuel Målare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sverker Henriksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sture Henriksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sverker Henriksson ran back to his position shaking his head. Torbjörn Ahlbom charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torbjörn Ahlbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Ängö BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vännäs BK throughout the match.
