Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jack Brogren started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Vilgot Frisk threw the ball into play from the sideline. Frölundaboys's Bertil Zachrisson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Stig-Ove Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mikael Ekenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingmar Nord's late challenge caught a Frölundaboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Nord helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kiruna's Ingmar Nord got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kiruna! After 19 minutes, Jack Brogren made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Kiruna's Mikael Ekenberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mikael Ekenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Nilsson in the 23rd minute of the match. Stig-Ove Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Vilgot Frisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Stig-Ove Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Ekenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klas Glanselius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stig-Ove Nilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mikael Ekenberg made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Bolander during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Stig-Ove Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frölundaboys's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Ekenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the game, Jack Brogren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Mikael Ekenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lars Bolander was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Frölundaboys's Lars Bolander got a free kick in the 68th minute. Tommy Frisck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Sarrate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Kiruna's goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Ove Nilsson. When Frölundaboys's Jack Brogren in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kiruna's goalie prevented a goal. Mikael Ekenberg came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Frölundaboys's Stig-Ove Nilsson. But to his dismay, Stig-Ove Nilsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Stig-Ove Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Bertil Zachrisson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Bertil Zachrisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stig-Ove Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Frölundaboys could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kiruna throughout the match.
