Spectators: 7692 (Terracing: 5770, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olov Björklund started the match with the kick off. In the 12th minute Börje Spets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk-Jan Koole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Björklund in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredrik Isaksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the match, BK Häcken's goalkeeper Dirk-Jan Koole had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Dalman. Ralf Ström scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fredrik Isaksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Olov Björklund made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Isaksson. Ostens BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 25 played minutes Ostens BK got a freekick which was hit by Börje Spets. Fredrik Isaksson came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Häcken's Ralf Ström. But to his dismay, Ralf Ström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 34 played minutes Ostens BK got a freekick which was hit by Carl Siöberg. After having played for 36 minutes, Olov Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Häcken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Olov Björklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Häcken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Sven-Oskar Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dirk-Jan Koole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrik Isaksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olov Björklund's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Ostens BK's Fredrik Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Ström in the 47th minute of play. Bengt Dalman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Dirk-Jan Koole made a huge save. After the first half BK Häcken were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt Dalman was the one to do the kick off. BK Häcken's Dirk-Jan Koole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Olsson in the 54th minute of play. Fredrik Isaksson came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Häcken's Olov Björklund. But to his dismay, Olov Björklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Fredrik Isaksson came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by BK Häcken's Ralf Ström. But to his dismay, Ralf Ström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. 64 minutes into the match, Ralf Ström notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Ostens BK's Fredrik Isaksson. Fredrik Isaksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, one of Ostens BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ostens BK. Ralf Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Stig-Arne Sigfridsson in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BK Häcken's Östen Vestlund. 78 minutes into the match, Olov Björklund notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Ostens BK's Fredrik Isaksson. Fredrik Isaksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by BK Häcken's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt Dalman was slow to take the kick. During this time Ostens BK's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Björklund in the 85th minute of play forced Ostens BK's goalkeeper Fredrik Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led BK Häcken's Feliks Byczewski to fire away a dangerous shot which Fredrik Isaksson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralf Ström got free with Fredrik Isaksson in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Björklund in the 92nd minute of play forced Ostens BK's goalkeeper Fredrik Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirk-Jan Koole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Dalman in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by BK Häcken's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt Dalman was slow to take the kick. During this time Ostens BK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Bengt Dalman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dirk-Jan Koole quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olov Björklund hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded BK Häcken left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ostens BK.
