In the 11th minute Stelian Hortopan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Hubert Tinglöf charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bennvar Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Orreboy Royals's Jörgen Wenerdahl got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 31st minute, Eliézer Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orreboy Royals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Mario Cuevas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bennvar Buffon. Ronnys Lärjungar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Cuevas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murat Dogan in the 37th minute of play forced Orreboy Royals's goalkeeper Gordon Banke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Banke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murat Dogan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Orreboy Royals were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murat Dogan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Orreboy Royals's goal looked a bit too open when Murat Dogan came free, but Gordon Banke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gordon Banke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Gang Bing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronnys Lärjungar's Bennvar Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Sampaio in the 84th minute of play. Bennvar Buffon was a little too slow when Mario Cuevas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-5. Karl-Magnus Törnqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bennvar Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Magnus Törnqvist ran back to his position shaking his head.
