After 23 played minutes Górnik NDZ got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Makowski. After a defensive mix-up in Falubaz Zielona Góra's zone, Mateusz Makowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanek Polkoski came out of the goal and Mateusz Makowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes Górnik NDZ got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Banas. In the 31st minute, Andrzej Nakonieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateusz Makowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tanek Polkoski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Mateusz Makowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tanek Polkoski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tanek Polkoski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beniamin Banas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beniamin Banas made a kick off. If Denis Goolen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
