Spectators: 7612 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1962, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eric Stav took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Geir Ryan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mons Søberg. The goal made the score 1-0. Ophus's Geir Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mons Søberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geir Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Ophus got a freekick which was hit by Geir Ryan. If Cent Årvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cent Årvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Torp IF's goalkeeper Mons Søberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Koppang. Mons Søberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarle Devik, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Henrik Kvalnes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mons Søberg made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Henrik Kvalnes sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute of the game Børge Larssen made a throw-in which Cent Årvik played forward. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Torp IF's zone, Cent Årvik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mons Søberg came out of the goal and Cent Årvik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geir Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mons Søberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cent Årvik's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Geir Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ophus's supporters rose to their feet, but Geir Ryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mons Søberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mons Søberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geir Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarle Devik in the 62nd minute of play forced Torp IF's goalkeeper Mons Søberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjarne Sletvold was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Torp IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ophus:s goal. Mons Søberg had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Cent Årvik's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ophus's Geir Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Torp IF's goal looked a bit too open when Cent Årvik came free, but Mons Søberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Koppang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mons Søberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ophus booed when Torp IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Knoph didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes of play, Ophus's Geir Ryan made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mons Søberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mons Søberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarle Devik, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geir Ryan in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mons Søberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
