Spectators: 8103 (Terracing: 6079, Seating: 1863, VIP seats: 161) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jean-Claude Eberhardt kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, F91 Dudelange's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Bourbon came free, but Philip von Prittwitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Bourbon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip von Prittwitz having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Gerry Bäcker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halstead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerry Bäcker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philip von Prittwitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Bäcker, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind F91 Dudelange's goalkeeper Philip von Prittwitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, F91 Dudelange's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Bourbon came free, but Philip von Prittwitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes F91 Dudelange got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Edelstein. If Aaron Bourbon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Claude Eberhardt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jean-Claude Eberhardt might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean-Claude Braun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jean-Claude Eberhardt ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Halstead's Aaron Bourbon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip von Prittwitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Otto Borchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip von Prittwitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerry Bäcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip von Prittwitz came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Halstead's Hermann Ludwig. But to his dismay, Hermann Ludwig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Gerry Bäcker came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Halstead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Bäcker couldn't finish the play.

57 minutes into the match, Rudolph Katzenbach notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of F91 Dudelange's Philip von Prittwitz. Philip von Prittwitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Claude Eberhardt in the 61st minute of play forced Halstead's goalkeeper Jean-Claude Braun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Halstead's Aaron Bourbon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After 67 played minutes Halstead got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Katzenbach. In the 68th minute, Otto Kühnhackl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gerry Bäcker came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Halstead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Bäcker couldn't finish the play. Jean-Claude Eberhardt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of F91 Dudelange:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Halstead:s goal. When Jean-Claude Eberhardt came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the F91 Dudelange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Claude Eberhardt couldn't finish the play. Halstead played a much better game than F91 Dudelange and deserved their victory. The F91 Dudelange players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
