Edmondo Ciraci hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Alvaro Schirru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Ciraci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beppe Rosetta made a great header on Veritas's corner, it was just that F.C. Filanti's Alvaro Schirru managed to reach the ball for a save. Aldo Crisantemo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno De Gregorio in the 14th minute of play. F.C. Filanti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dennis Preda in the 16th minute. The corner led F.C. Filanti's Ermanno De Gregorio to fire away a dangerous shot which Aldo Crisantemo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edmondo Ciraci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Schirru having to interfere. When Edmondo Ciraci came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Veritas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Ciraci couldn't finish the play. Veritas's Aldo Crisantemo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Patricelli in the 30th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Dennis Preda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aldo Crisantemo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmondo Ciraci got free with Alvaro Schirru in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Ciraci in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Schirru saved F.C. Filanti from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Bianco Pietropaolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmondo Ciraci struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Alvaro Schirru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veritas. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmondo Ciraci made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Veritas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Castronovo to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute, Biagio Taddeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvaro Schirru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Ciraci in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Edmondo Ciraci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Schirru was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alvaro Schirru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Ciraci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Schirru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Ciraci in the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Ermanno De Gregorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Filanti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermanno De Gregorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Schirru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Ciraci in the 64th minute of the match. Antonello Marzulli hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Veritas's Beppe Rosetta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C. Filanti. Alvaro Schirru came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Veritas's Roger Forsberg. But to his dismay, Roger Forsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Alvaro Schirru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Castronovo in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Veritas defense, Ermanno De Gregorio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldo Crisantemo. The Veritas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldo Crisantemo should have stopped the shot. Veritas made a substitution. Ferruccio Catapano replaced Carter Di Natale. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Ciraci in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Schirru saved F.C. Filanti from getting behind. Aldo Crisantemo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermanno De Gregorio in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. Filanti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Veritas.
