An unexpectedly hard shot by István Kocsis in the 3rd minute of play forced Football Fanatics's goalkeeper Gyula Zombori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, József Hollósi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Football Fanatics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If István Kocsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Football Fanatics's József Hollósi got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, József Hollósi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihály Vas. The goal made the score 2-0. András Kónya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gyula Zombori having to interfere. Gyula Zombori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Kocsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. András Kónya was the one to do the kick off. After 63 played minutes Fradi 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Sándor Vajda. In the 66th match minute, Football Fanatics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Hollósi to maneuver through the defense. Fradi 2.0's András Kónya was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Milán Szőnyi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihály Vas. Fradi 2.0's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milán Szőnyi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When István Kocsis came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fradi 2.0 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that István Kocsis couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute of the match, István Kocsis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gyula Zombori was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Football Fanatics players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
