Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasenko Rogošić in the 15th minute of play. Maksimir's Antonio Hrste was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee ignored Maksimir's protests and gave Jorge Seixas a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Maksimir got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Seixas. In the 58th minute of the match --Sibenik-- got a corner. Maksimir's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jasenko Rogošić ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alen Kovič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Hrste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tibor Ďumbier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maksimir's Gradimir Antonić was substituted for Miodrag Rozga. Maksimir made a substitution. Marin Kuharić replaced Billie Denijs. Maksimir's Adrijan Grbović was substituted for Tibor Ďumbier. Alen Kovič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrijan Grbović, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Boleslaw Jaktorowo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jasenko Rogošić showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. Antonio Hrste blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alen Kovič having to make a save. After a rather tough play, --Sibenik--'s Tihomir Zdorc got a free kick in the 75th minute. Danijel Petrlin scored 3-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alen Kovič, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alen Kovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrijan Grbović in the 80th minute of play. Maksimir's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Seixas in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Maksimir's Antonio Hrste got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marin Kuharić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maksimir's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Kuharić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alen Kovič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Maksimir booed when --Sibenik-- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihomir Zdorc didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, --Sibenik--'s goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Hrste came free, but Alen Kovič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. --Sibenik--'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
