Sönke von Scheliha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Hendrik Westerman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Mikel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. FC Mikel's Johannes Kunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sönke von Scheliha in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes FC Mikel got a freekick which was hit by Björn Vielmann. In the 31st minute, Johann Schurwanz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rainer Paschen hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Johann Schurwanz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Kunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sönke von Scheliha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arko Ruthus charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arko Ruthus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Borsum got a freekick which was hit by Arko Ruthus. Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Mattis Chamisso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hendrik Westerman made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Borsum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabien Sanio to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes FC Mikel got a freekick which was hit by Björn Vielmann. The supporters of Borsum booed when FC Mikel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Vielmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sönke von Scheliha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, FC Mikel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Mevenkamp to maneuver through the defense. When Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Mikel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani couldn't finish the play. FC Mikel's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
