The Wielkie Pały fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Weigl should have stopped the shot. Björn Schützer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Philipp Grüner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Weigl having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Görzhausen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wielkie Pały:s goal. Philipp Grüner might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Weigl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philipp Grüner ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burkhard Barthel in the 38th minute of play forced Wielkie Pały's goalkeeper Robert Weigl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Weigl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philipp Grüner went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philipp Grüner made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Wielkie Pały's zone, Philipp Grüner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Weigl came out of the goal and Philipp Grüner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert Weigl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Kroos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Philipp Grüner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Görzhausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Philipp Grüner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
