When Rodolfo Tolle fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grünschwaige's protests and gave Rodolfo Tolle a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Grünschwaige got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Tolle. If Uwe-Jens Bass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottlieb Brendel in the 34th minute of play forced Grünschwaige's goalkeeper Andreas Kappestein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Gottlieb Brendel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andreas Kappestein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wulf Schaede, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Helge Winklhofer's late challenge caught a Geraer Füchse e.V.97's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helge Winklhofer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Grünschwaige's Helge Winklhofer got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Konstantin Rausch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Kappestein skillfully saved the ball. If Wulf Schaede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uwe-Jens Bass stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gottlieb Brendel struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Andreas Kappestein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geraer Füchse e.V.97. Noah von Hofe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 55th playminute. In the 58th minute, Wulf Schaede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grünschwaige's Efraim Spieß got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geraer Füchse e.V.97's goalkeeper Arne Garden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Noah von Hofe fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geraer Füchse e.V.97's protests and gave Noah von Hofe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grünschwaige booed when Geraer Füchse e.V.97 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noah von Hofe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Uwe-Jens Bass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grünschwaige getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Yorick Svoboda hit a great ball. Wulf Schaede received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andreas Kappestein came out and tried to block the shot, but Wulf Schaede slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 74th minute. A collision led to Geraer Füchse e.V.97 getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sevim Guggemoos hit a great ball. Arne Garden came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Grünschwaige's Efraim Spieß. But to his dismay, Efraim Spieß quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Grünschwaige's Uwe-Jens Bass got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gottlieb Brendel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottlieb Brendel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Andreas Kappestein made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wulf Schaede in the 96th minute of play forced Grünschwaige's goalkeeper Andreas Kappestein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Geraer Füchse e.V.97 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
